Iroquois Park is one of Greater Louisville's most scenic parks. The 739 acre park is located south of downtown and surrounded on all sides by neighborhoods. Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, it was promoted as Louisville's" Yellowstone" and is known for the scenic hill viewpoints, at the top of the hill. The summit of Iroquois Park presents a panoramic view of downtown Louisville from the South viewpoint. The park features an amphitheater, basketball courts, a playground, a disc golf course and a riding stable. It also offers an 18 hole golf course which challenges golfers of any level.
